The Holidays - Voices Drifting
Indie Rock / Jam / Dream Pop
We shot the clip in an outdoor pool in the middle of winter, as we discovered the pool heater was broken. The idea was that I would perform the song underwater in one breath, but if I couldn’t last the duration the concept kinda falls apart - so the pressure was on. I spent weeks practicing by slowing down my heart rate and singing the song with my head in a bucket of water. With the cold it was hard to calm myself, thankfully we had a crew of people warming me between takes and giving me eye drops for the chlorine. We shot about 15 aborted takes and it was getting very frustrating for everybody, in the end I resolved to stay under even if I ran out of breath, you might be able to see this happens at the end of the 2nd verse… it was extremely uncomfortable but I didn’t drown, we got one full take and that’s the clip!

Body Language - Well Absolutely
We have about 6 radio stations around me that play current music. Unfortunately they all play the same 15 songs. All bought and paid for without a glimmer of talent from the original artist. I find it odd that they are still around because obviously they’re getting enough people to listen. If you look around, complacency is the great disease of our current years, and I work hard to prevent that.

Lestat Vermon - “The River” (Official Video) (by Lestat Vermon)

The first is large cutlery aside. Lestat Vermon is the solo project of the Arctic Circle 18 - and Birnam Woods of guitarist Philip Makolies from Dresden, who now released his debut album “Clouds” the sound aesthetic design to his previous musical work. No bombastic rock, not a wild snorting orchestra but eleven simple, self-sufficient song on the old nylon string guitar (which he was then eleven years was the first guitar lessons), purified, redeemed, and crisscrossed at most times of occasional piano melodies and subtle horns and choirs. Since so you can be almost glad that the musician once while skateboarding broke his ankle and was thus forced to employ sheer eingegipster boredom intense with acoustic guitar and cheap Vermona organs: the (then) unconscious birth of the project Lestat Vermon.

Jazz Influenced Chill Beats

Mndsgn - Greatyob (1 for knx) (by Verona Tapes)

Though he was born in America’s Golden State, Ringgo Ancheta aka Mndsgn has spent most of his life living and working on the other side of the country, operating out of New Jersey. Now, after a lengthy absence, he’s upped sticks and headed back to CA to continue producing the trademark atmospheric, heat-wave electronica that has marked him out as one of the west coast’s finest beat-smiths.

Chillwave/Ambient Beats

American beat maker, Ackryte, has been releasing music for your morning coffee since 2010 on his soundcloud account and has released albums through various labels (including Cascade and HW&W). His soft vibrance and jazzy laid hip hop style make for an entertaining blend of electronic chilled out happiness.

Iwan Rheon - Bang! Bang! (by Iwan Rheon)

First, you may remember this artist as the shy man-turner superhero in the Hulu series Misfits. Now, he’s turning heads and churning out records. His tasteful acoustic based music has some folky roots as well as hand percussions and wow that voice. The talent that he’s displayed so far puts him up to be a contemporary of Alexi Murdoch, Jose Gonzalez, The Tallest Man On Earth and Benjamin Gibbard. Looking forward to hearing more from this surprisingly soulful and multi-faceted artist.

Electronic Pop/Feel Good Vibes

The music itself is clean-cut adult-pop, full of multilayered harmonies and happy vibes. ‘Becoming Human’ is a far cry from previous Art Vs. Science releases, as Finn steps out on his own and in a new direction. Vydamo has its charm, and by the high-profile turnout of radio and TV personalities, he’s undoubtedly tipped for future success.
